Tune Thursday // New Christian Music

Wow! I have had one crazy, intense week. It seems like time has just been flying by as I've filled out scholarship applications, worked on essays for school, gone to doctor's appointments, and spent time with friends.

I haven't written any Tune Thursday posts for a while, but I thought it would be fun to share some new Christian music with you. I tried to find a few songs that centered around God being there for us, even when life is absolutely CRAZY.

The first song is "Rest in The Hope" by Karyn Williams. I really like the simple instruments playing in the background and the gentle pace of the song. The lyrics pull the song together with an amazing message:
You are the truth that never changes
You are the love that came to save us I am Yours
Even through all my fear and sorrow
Facing a new unknown tomorrow I am sure
That I'm gonna rest in the hope that I'm Yours

The second song I discovered is "Be There" by Capital Kings. To be honest, I'd never heard of Capital Kings until today when I heard their song on YouTube. I love the dubstep beat of all their songs. It is so catchy! The band kind of reminds me of Owl City.

The final song I'll be sharing today is "Middle of Your Heart" by For King & Country. The lyrics remind me that the best way to find peace and direction is to surrender control and ask God to take me to the center of his heart.
This is where it begins
This is where all the worry ends
This is where I say
I don't need to have control

This is where I admit
I don't know how to handle it
Life in all of its chaos
You are my only hope

What did you think of today's songs? Which one was your favorite? Do you have an suggestions for songs that I might feature in a future Tune Thursday posts? (I'm willing to share any type of music. It doesn't have to be Christian, as long as the lyrics are clean.) Please leave a comment below. I'd love to hear from you!

  1. Thanks for introducing me to the first two artists - I hadn't heard of them before! My favorite is probably the Karyn Williams one. I like the theme of the songs, too, cause life is more often than not CRAZY! =)
Hope you find joy & peace in the midst of the craziness!
